Can I download V0901 in English?

Yes. DRV publishes the official PDF in bilingual editions, including German/English — one document carries both languages, so you read English while DRV receives its German form. The download is free.

Do I need form A1310?

In practice, almost always — yes. V0901 asks for payment details in Section 11, but in the refund cases we see, DRV generally still requires the separate, signed A1310 as the payment declaration for the payout. A1310 covers every country except Italy (A1311). A German bank account is not required.

How long does the refund take?

Processing time depends on the responsible pension office, and we cannot guarantee a decision or payment date. For measured results, see the full data and methodology on our processing-time page — we publish the current figures there rather than repeating them across the site.

Can I apply while visiting Germany?

The conditions are checked on the application date, and the refund requires that you live outside the EU and the UK. A short visit is not the same as moving back — but if you have moved back to Germany, the residence condition is no longer met until you live abroad again.
